Ride along the Atlantic coast past quaint villages and imposing castles, go up and down mountain roads and enjoy one of the best scenic routes in the world in the Douro valley. And on top of it all see the colourful cityscapes of Porto and Lisbon to complete your experience!
We start and finish at Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The first part of our route leads towards Serra da Estrella Natural Park. After a stopover in Coimbra with its medieval university, we pass through the picturesque Aldeias do Xisto region famous for its beautifully preserved villages as we head for the Torre mountain — the highest point of mainland Portugal (1,993 m). Then we go back towards the coast via N222 nestled in the Douro valley which is rightfully considered one of the most scenic roads in the world.
Once we are through with port wine tasting in Porto, the second part of our tour begins, and it is all about the ocean! Prepare to explore coastal roads and take photo breaks near lighthouses and in small towns. You will see Nazaré famous for its huge waves, Peniche with its beaches revered in the surf community and Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe.

Overview
We fly into Lisbon, take a short rest, pick up our bikes from the rental agency and embark on our journey which lasts 5 riding days. Once we finish at Lisbon, we return the bikes, enjoy the city and fly home on the following day.
Tour type: Road
Surface: asphalt.
Motorcycles: hired Honda NC750X / Yamaha Tracer 7 GT (or same class). All the bikes have insurance coverage and are equipped with side and top cases. The motorcycles are hired with basic coverage which requires a pre-authorised deposit of €1,400-1,600 on your credit card. You may purchase extra coverage to reduce the deposit amount. You can also upgrade your ride for an extra charge.
Co-rider: allowed. The tour price for a co-rider is €1,600.
Tour Difficulty
Expect to ride 200-250 km per day. The cruise speed is 100-120 km/h on motorways and 60-70 km/h on mountain backroads.
Required Documents
You must have a valid biometric passport and a Category A driving license. You must also have medical insurance to cover COVID-19. Please make sure that your insurance policy contains specific provisions for motorcycle travel.
Number of Participants
Up to 8 including co-riders.
Accommodation
3* hotels (double/twin rooms). Single rooms may be available for an extra charge.
Boarding
The tour price includes all breakfasts. Lunches and dinners are paid individually.
Transfers
The price includes all the transfers to Lisbon airport and back as well as taxis or rented vehicles which will take you on the excursions.

Every rider must be equipped with a properly-sized helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, and rain suit. A complete list of the essentials will be provided towards the tour dates.
Technical support
The tour leader will carry all the tools and consumables for the technical maintenance and field repair of the hired motorcycles. Major repairs and evacuation are covered by the insurance policy.

A mountain region in the heart of Portugal famous for its quaint villages. Almost all the buildings here are made from shale.

Livraria Lello, Porto
One of the oldest bookshops in Portugal established in 1869. This place is considered one of the most beautiful bookshops in the words.

A double-deck metal arch bridge which is one of the main symbols of Porto. Designed by Théophile Seyrig, Gustave Eiffel's disciple.
Praia Do Norte, Nazaré
World-famous beach which gets some of the biggest waves in the world — up to 30 m high! No surprise this place is revered by big wave surfers.
